The British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA) has renewed its member scheme Renovation Plan, part of Howden, global insurance intermediary group, for properties undergoing renovation work.

Renovation Plan, part of Howden, is a specialist insurance scheme for properties undergoing construction, renovation, or conversion, catering for large or small projects, including both residential and commercial properties.

Graeme Trudgill, BIBA Chief Executive, said: “We are delighted to continue supporting this well-established scheme, giving brokers access to specialist cover designed for properties undergoing renovation. Renovation projects can create gaps in protection that standard home insurance policies may not address, particularly when building work is taking place. This scheme helps ensure customers have the cover they need throughout the project.”

Dean Wright, Divisional Director – Schemes, Howden commented: “We are pleased to renew our partnership with BIBA and continue providing brokers and their clients with access to the Renovation Plan scheme. The renewal reflects the strong relationship we’ve built over many years and our shared commitment to supporting brokers whose clients are undertaking renovation, extension and refurbishment projects. Renovating a property can introduce unique risks that are often not catered for under standard home insurance policies. Through Renovation Plan, we give brokers confidence that their clients are protected from the start of a project through to completion, helping safeguard both property and investment. BIBA’s continued endorsement reflects the quality of the scheme, the expertise of our team, and the value it delivers to brokers across the UK.

As the renovation market continues to evolve, we remain committed to investing in our proposition, delivering exceptional service and ensuring brokers have access to market-leading solutions that meet the changing needs of their customers. We look forward to building on this successful partnership and continuing to help brokers protect their clients throughout every stage of their renovation journey.”
