More Good Practice for Brokers
25th June 2020
The BIBA Insurance Brokers’ Standards committee has been busy creating more guidance for you and has published three new chapters of the Good Practice Guide available here.
You can now read a section on market practice including some key good practice around presenting a risk, managing quotes and exclusivity agreement and LTAs. Read section H Market Practice here.
Brokers often help clients in managing claims, and you can now examine the good practice in respect of a brokers’ duty and role, the Enterprise Act, managing complaints and conflicts of interests. Access Section K A Brokers’ Role in Claims here.
Our sector is dynamic so we have also produced a useful checklist and good practice for broking firms entering the market. With items of sales and marketing, HR and finance incumbent brokers will find it interesting too. Find out more in Section I Start-ups here.
