Practical help for members wishing to engage with their own cyber resilience, or help their clients understand the necessity to prepare and recover from cyber attacks. BIBA welcomes the ABI good practice guidance and the opportunity to contribute.

In well-laid out, easy to read terms, the guidance describes the issues affecting every business, and some of the preventions; from multi-factor authentication (MFA), to endpoint security, staff training, backups, and supply chain risk.

The guidance recognises the value of Cyber Essentials in reducing cyber incidents and, the wider aspects of cyber resilience such as “how prepared an organisation is to respond to a cyber incident, the potential severity of an attack, and how organisations can recover from an incident.”

BIBA is committed to bringing members information from across industries and Government to help prevent and survive cyber attacks.

A reminder to check out BIBA’s refreshed Cyber Insurance Guide with CFC.

Meantime, BIBA’s Accredited Cyber Insurance Broker (ACIB) service continues to give confidence to businesses to engage with brokers on cyber insurance. As one BIBA member said in Post Magazine , “Hopefully, it will focus brokers and encourage them to sort of grab the cyber bull by the horns.” Find out more about Accredited Cyber Insurance broker status.

Or come along to BIBA’s Tour of the Regions where a panel of cyber practitioners from insurance , business resilience and Govt. will discuss key issues affecting brokers and their customers.
