The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) will be proceeding with plans to require firms to register for the new data collection platform to replace Gabriel, despite the current challenges of dealing with Coronavirus (Covid-19). The FCA said this simple step will set firms up for the new platform so that they will be ready to move when the time comes.
The regulator will be asking all Gabriel users to complete a mandatory one-time registration activity next time they log in to Gabriel from 2 April 2020.
Once firms have completed this short registration activity in Gabriel, all users should continue to report via Gabriel using their existing login details until the FCA moves them to the new platform.
The FCA said it will email users a moving date to the new data collection platform in good time, so it is important all contact details on Gabriel are current.
