The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has given the name RegData to its new data collection platform which will eventually replace Gabriel. A summary of the changes that users can expect to see when compared to their experience of Gabriel and how the FCA plans a phased move for firms to the new platform have also been published.
RegData now has its own place on the FCA website and members can access the landing page by clicking here.
The FCA will keep updating the landing page regularly to keep firms informed before, during, and after their move to the new platform.
Firms can find out more about how to register for RegData by clicking here.
The registration process will continue to be available to firms as they log in to Gabriel and it is a one-off activity. Firms should continue to use Gabriel as normal logging in with their existing Gabriel login details until the FCA moves them to RegData. Firms will be moved over gradually to RegData and the FCA will communicate with firms directly and in good time before their moving date. The registration page also carries a video about how to register which is worth viewing.
Firms that recently received an email, letter or phone call from the FCA asking them to register for Connect, which registered a Connect account then, have no need to create a new one now. Firms should continue using their existing Connect login details.
