The BIBA Conference has been named the Best Association Event at the Conference & Events Awards 2023. Held last Friday, the annual awards celebrate and champion everyone involved in the events industry and is judged by a panel of event industry experts.
Commenting on why The BIBA Conference won, the judges said: “Efforts to re-unite the industry after the pandemic are clear and the resulting uptake for 2023 demonstrates the success of the event. There is really strong experiential innovation, and we love the Wellness Zone. A clever idea and more than timely with the backdrop of wellness front of mind for businesses worldwide.”
Emma Chapman, Head of Conference at BIBA, said: “We are over the moon to be presented with this award. The whole team works so hard to deliver a valuable event for BIBA’s members and the rest of our sector where the insurance industry can meet under one roof to network, learn and do business. This award highlights that not only are we recognised in our industry but that our event stands out compared to others too.”
Steve White, BIBA CEO, said: “I am very proud of the conference team and everyone else at BIBA who play a part in delivering The BIBA Conference. The event hit record breaking numbers this year with 9000 attendees and 229 exhibitors so winning Best Association Event really underpins the benefits it delivers to all attendees.”
The BIBA Conference will return to Manchester Central on Wednesday 15 and Thursday 16 May 2024 and is free for BIBA members.
