The British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA) is pleased to announce that it has appointed Lesley Maxwell as Regional Manager North.
Lesley joins the Association on 11 May and will be responsible for strategic development of the region and building relationships in Yorkshire, North East, Scotland, North West and Northern Ireland. As well as managing relationships with new and existing members she will promote the work of BIBA throughout the region and build an understanding of what they need from BIBA.
She will report to Head of Commercial, Nicola Maguire and be part of the Commercial and Membership team. With over 20 years’ experience in the insurance industry, Lesley has held roles across brokers, insurers, and most recently within wholesale distribution.
Nicola says: “I am delighted that Lesley has joined us. She knows the region well and is on the front-foot, having great relationships there already. I am looking forward to seeing her in action.”
Lesley adds: “I have enjoyed a varied career in the insurance industry, and one constant throughout has been BIBA. Early in my career as a broker, I recognised the vital role BIBA plays, and as my experience grew, I became more actively involved through advisory and regional committee work. This involvement has allowed me to see first-hand the positive impact BIBA has across our industry, and I greatly value the work it does.
“It is therefore an absolute honour to join the organisation. I am committed to building on the strong foundations already in place and look forward to working closely with our valued members across the region to support their continued success.”
