Keith Frampton given posthumous award
In both celebration and with sadness the British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA) bestowed its 2021 Francis Perkins Award on Keith Frampton who regretfully passed away before he could receive it.
Keith, previously of Forces Insurance, was selected because of his tireless work to bring appropriate insurance cover to members of the armed forces and his commitment to BIBA.
Keith was a BIBA East Midland committee member and served on BIBA’s Motor Panel including as its Chair from 2017. His work on the Armed Forces Covenant saw him sit on the financial services steering group and visit Number 10 Downing Street where he met the Prime Minister.
Graeme Trudgill BIBA Executive Director said: “Keith served the insurance broking industry for more than 40 years and achieved much in the arena of insurance protection for service personnel. Fortunately, he had been told of his award and was delighted. He was a lovely man and an enthusiastic supporter of BIBA and will be hugely missed. It is an honour to recognise him in this way.”
Francis Perkins, the first Chair of BIBA, instigated the award to give recognition to members of the association who give their time and energy to promote the causes of the insurance broking sector.
