Wendy Hardman presented with BIBA’s Francis Perkins Award
11th May 2022
The British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA) has named Wendy Hardman from Arthur J Gallagher as the winner of its 2022 Francis Perkins Award.
Francis Perkins, the first Chairman of BIBA, instigated the award to give recognition to members of the association who give their time and energy to promote the causes of the insurance broking sector.
The judges selected Wendy because of her incredible contribution to BIBA and broking through 17 years of longstanding commitment on BIBA’s regional and technical committees. She has held the role of Chair, Treasurer, and committee member on the BIBA Yorkshire & Northern Committee, and contributed as a member of both BIBA’s Property, and Liability and Accident Committees.
Steve White, BIBA CEO, said: “I absolutely agree with the glowing nominations that we received for Wendy, she is truly a worthy winner. She has been a stalwart of BIBA for many years in the regions and has been an incredible influence on the careers of so many people that have worked with her.
“Wendy’s technical knowledge and understanding of our industry is unparalleled, and she has inspired and paved the way for many to follow in her footsteps. Wendy’s supportive approach has been highlighted by many, and I’m sure BIBA has benefited greatly over the years from her contributions.
Wendy absolutely deserves recognition for the excellent work she has carried out for BIBA and brokers in the Yorkshire & Northern Committee. So, from myself and all those brokers, I offer her our thanks.”
