The British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA) has named Christian Poulsen ACII as the winner of its 2025 Francis Perkins Award.
Francis Perkins, the first Chair of BIBA, instigated the award to give recognition to members of the Association who give their time and energy to promote the causes of the insurance broking sector.
The judges selected Christian because of his incredible contribution to BIBA and the wider insurance industry. He was a member of BIBA’s SME Brokers’ Advisory Board for more than twelve years until he recently retired from these duties.
Graeme Trudgill, BIBA Chief Executive said: “Christian has been an excellent supporter of BIBA for many years he has been a strong voice and advocate for smaller broker members. He has given up a significant amount of his time to represent the needs of BIBA members and has been a worthy sounding board for the BIBA team throughout the time he dedicated to BIBA. We thank him for the wealth of knowledge and experience that he brought to us.”
In addition to his insurance broking career, Christian has held the Presidency of his local Chartered Insurance Institute, Folkestone and South Kent and at the time was the youngest person to hold this position.
