The British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA) has renewed its member scheme with Jackson Lee Underwriting (JLU) for holiday, sports and business travel insurance.
The scheme includes a range of travel products designed for individuals, families, groups and sports teams. Offering cover for travellers on a budget, cruises holidays, sporting and adventure holidays, and those going on longer stay trips1. In addition to package travel cover and emergency assistance support, there are also optional extras available for gadgets and winter sports.
Importantly, the scheme now also offers business travel insurance, a critical offering for insurance brokers, as it provides clients with essential protection against the unpredictable risks associated with corporate travel. From medical emergencies and trip cancellations to lost equipment and travel delays, comprehensive coverage ensures business continuity and financial security.
This unique facility provides enhanced coverage by automatically including personal travel for all directors and their families when travelling together. It also offers the flexibility to extend cover to employees and their families, ensuring worldwide protection under a comprehensive “fit to fly” wording.
Graeme Trudgill, BIBA Chief Executive, said: “Travel insurance can often be complex for customers to understand but it is essential that they have suitable protection. This scheme offers members access to a specialist scheme with a comprehensive range of travel insurance products to suit the varying customer needs. We are pleased to renew this popular scheme with JLU who have continued to develop the scheme in response to members and customers’ needs.”
Nick Mohan, JLU, added: “We are delighted to renew the BIBA Travel Insurance Scheme, introducing a range of enhancements designed to deliver better outcomes for customers. These include the addition of a digital wallet and Air Doctors to help mitigate travel delay and medical claims, alongside broader improvements that streamline support and responsiveness. At a time when travel insurance is under increased regulatory scrutiny, these updates reinforce a commitment to innovation, resilience, and providing brokers with a robust, customer-focused solution.”
Earlier this year JLU introduced the unique PIN IT facility to the scheme to simplify the quote and sales process. It allows brokers to provide customers with a link to purchase the product online rather than quoting themselves – saving time and resource.
