1st October 2015
BIBA members will benefit from enhanced cover
BIBA is pleased to announce that its successful Holiday Travel scheme has been transferred to Syndicate DTW1991 at Lloyd’s.
The new Holiday Travel + policy provides a wide range of benefits for customers including financial failure and covers many activities as standard including trekking to any height and motorcycling holidays. It also has the benefit of not excluding terrorism.
The Holiday Travel + scheme has been enhanced to include cover specifically designed for golfing holidays, including loss of Green Fees as well as cover for loss of, or damage to clubs and accessories.
BIBA members will continue to benefit from a web-based solution that gives them the ability to sell travel insurance using their own websites. In addition, new functionality has been developed which enables brokers to amend or renew policies online. BIBA members will also enjoy direct access to specialist underwriters for the more complex or unusual cases that need flexibility of underwriting.
Daniel Wright – Active Underwriter, DTW1991 said;
“We are delighted to be providing our Holiday Travel + cover to BIBA. We aim to make the transition as smooth as possible for BIBA members and their clients who will benefit from a competitive product, bespoke coverage, high levels of service from specialist underwriters and a customer-centric claims service”.
Graeme Trudgill – BIBA’s Executive Director concluded;
“Our holiday travel scheme is a flagship facility having won praise for its ease of use and wide, flexible and easy to understand cover. It was vital for us to make the change seamlessly and we are grateful to DTW1991 for helping to make this happen. This is a valuable facility, now further enhanced, that our members and their customers can continue to benefit from.”
