On 1 May, the chair of BIBA’s Northern Ireland Regional Committee, Justin Hillen, hosted a meeting with several BIBA members and Matt Brewis, Director of Insurance -Supervision, Policy and Competition and Hendy Adams, Manager, Lloyd’s and Wholesale Brokers, FCA.
Matt and Hendy were keen to find out more about the unique characteristics of the Northern Ireland market and what can be done to increase the supply and affordability of insurance, especially within personal lines.
The meeting was very constructive and we are grateful to Matt and Hendy for taking the time to listen to the concerns raised by our members and to debate a range of possible solutions to unlock more capacity. This is a good example of the ongoing engagement we have with the regulator and our shared focus on delivering good customer outcomes.
