Elizabeth, 91, was told by her long- term insurance provider that they could no longer offer her car insurance because she is over 89 years old. They signposted her BIBA’s Find Insurance Service who put her in touch with specialist broker Adrian Flux.
Elizabeth who suffers with COPD, cannot walk too far so relies on her car for mobility. She explains: “The idea of going without a car is not exciting. Even though I have low milage, my car gives me my independence. It allows me to travel to aqua aerobics three times a week which helps me stay active, so it’s pretty important.
“The BIBA service was really helpful, as was the broker, especially as I didn’t want to go online and wanted a paper copy of my insurance.”
