BIBA’s Executive Director is looking for an experienced highly organised, proactive person to support them and our Corporate Affairs and Technical Teams.
We are a small team operating in a busy environment looking after the interests of our members who are insurance brokers across the UK. We also have a wide range of external stakeholders with whom we interact making the role diverse and creating a need to juggle competing priorities.
We are looking for
- At least five years PA experience within financial services (ideally insurance)
- Ability to provide efficient support
- Confident in balancing competing priorities to meet deadlines
- Proactive in solving problems
- Happy and able to flag important issues that arise
- Attention to detail
Key roles and responsibilities
- Diary, email and administration management for Executive Director
- Production of documents such as reports, presentations, correspondence
- Collating meeting packs and briefing materials to ensure director is prepared for all meetings
- Research
- Supporting teams with arrangements for key meetings including taking notes and actions
- Production and management of contracts
- Support at BIBA’s annual conference. Journalist awards and manifesto launch
- Other ad hoc duties
Skills and attributes
- A high standard of written work
- Team player who can follow up with prompting and shows initiative to deliver high standard of support
- A confident communicator who can prioritise to deliver for all stakeholders
- Good IT skills covering Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Terms and Conditions
- Job type: permanent 35 hours per week
- Salary: dependent on experience
- Office based – central London (EC3A)
- Company pension scheme and interest free season ticket loan (after qualifying period)
- Annual leave of 23 days pa plus bank holidays and office closures.
- Notice period: three months
