The British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA) has appointed Amy Cox as its new Head of Public Affairs, further strengthening the organisation’s engagement with Government and policymakers as it continues to champion the needs of the insurance broking sector.

Amy will report directly to BIBA’s Chief Executive, she joined the BIBA team at The BIBA Conference 2026 and starts her role officially on 26 May 2026.

Amy’s appointment reflects BIBA’s continued focus on ensuring the voice of insurance brokers is heard at the highest levels of Government and across the wider policy landscape.

Prior to this, she held public affairs roles at Institution of Civil Engineers, where she worked on infrastructure policy and member engagement, and at Experian, leading lobbying activity in both the UK and the EU for the FTSE 30 business. Earlier in her career, Amy worked for a Minister in the Cabinet Office.

Amy will lead BIBA’s public affairs activity, with a particular focus on advancing the Manifesto priorities and strengthening long-term strategic engagement with Government and key stakeholders.

Commenting on her appointment, Amy says: “I’m delighted to be joining BIBA and look forward to advancing the organisation’s key points, while also building long-term strategic insight and ensuring BIBA remains a constructive friend and trusted voice for Government.”

Graeme Trudgill BIBA CEO adds: “Amy brings an excellent blend of political, corporate and membership body experience. Her expertise and strategic insight will be invaluable as we continue to advocate on behalf of our members and push forward the priorities set out in our Manifesto.”
