Roger West, a retired financial advisor, needed to find short-term buildings and contents insurance for his mother’s property which was unoccupied. His mother had moved into a care home and the property was being marketed for sale. An insurer who was unable to provide cover referred Roger to BIBA’s Find Insurance Service. They transferred his call directly to specialist broker Adrian Flux who were able to help. In addition, they assisted Roger further when his mother’s hearing aids went missing in the care home by providing personal contents and possessions insurance for her belongings. Roger said: “It wasn’t easy to insure the unoccupied property or the contents at the care home. Mum has dementia and it’s been a difficult time but at least we have peace of mind that the house is insured and mum has cover for her valuables. I’m very happy with the BIBA service, a brilliant job well done – they deserve a lottery grant!”
