The Coronavirus outbreak has placed the insurance market under the microscope. A key focus has been the operation of business interruption cover for losses arising from the pandemic and where the burden for those losses should fall. The debate has been somewhat fragmented with partisan views being widely expressed.

Weightmans, a BIBA Associate Member, has sought to bring clarity to the discussion via its ongoing series of podcasts covering the overarching themes of pandemic risk, the ‘Big Five’ types of affirmative pandemic cover, and the essential judicial authorities and how we think the insurance market should respond to Coronavirus.

To draw all of these threads together, on 7 May they will be holding a live ‘Question Time’ style webinar for the whole of the insurance market including BIBA Executive Director Graeme Trudgill on the Panel.

Weightmans’ insurance experts will be joined by key panellists drawing expertise from Government, actuaries and BIBA to take account of a variety of perspectives, helping to foster consensus on the key issues and deliver actionable insights. We hope that you’ll join us and our panel and participate in the debate.

Your questions and your perspectives are really important and we look forward to hearing from you and welcoming you to this interactive webinar.
