The FCA wants confidence that your business has sufficient financial resources to operate sustainably and meet its regulatory capital requirements both at launch and as it grows.
This section is not simply about demonstrating that you have access to funding today. The FCA wants to understand whether the business is financially viable, whether management understands its financial position and whether sufficient capital will be maintained on an ongoing basis.
Your application should explain:
- How the business will meet its capital requirements.
- The source of funding available to the business.
- How capital levels will be monitored.
- How the business will remain adequately funded as it grows.
- How the information provided aligns with the financial forecasts submitted as part of the application.
A strong submission demonstrates that capital planning has been considered from the outset and is supported by realistic financial forecasts.
