Julie Page becomes BIBA Deputy Chair and Ian Cooper joins the Board

The British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA) has appointed Julie Page, CEO of Aon Risk Solutions as its Deputy Chair, and Ian Cooper Partner at Lockton as the Chair of its International & Wholesale Brokers’ Advisory Board.

Julie has served on BIBA’s board for nearly four years and replaces Tim Ryan from Ryan Insurance Group who has been BIBA’s Deputy Chair since 2015.  Julie hands over the position of Chair of the International & Wholesale Brokers’ Advisory Board to Ian who will also take a seat at the main Board. Tim remains a BIBA Board member.

Julie said: “It is a privilege to become BIBA’s Deputy Chair and I look forward to working with the rest of the Board and the BIBA team to take forward the important and challenging issues that brokers face.”

As Chair of the International & Wholesale Brokers’ Advisory Board, Ian will represent BIBA members from the Lloyd’s and London market at the highest level ensuring that matters affecting them are properly represented.

Ian said: “Brokers need a strong voice.  BIBA’s structure and BIBA’s advisory boards ensure that they have that.  I am pleased to join the board and will take forward the role of representing international and wholesale members with enthusiasm and commitment.”

BIBA Chairman, Lord Hunt of Wirral, concluded: “These are two excellent appointments. Both Julie and Ian have the experience and skills to represent brokers at the highest levels and assist BIBA as it continues to move forward.  Julie has been an excellent advisory board Chair and I am pleased that she has accepted the reins from Tim who has been an outstanding Deputy Chair.”
