15th September 2014

The British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA) has welcomed Be Wiser Insurance into membership. Be Wiser Insurance is a personal lines broker based in Hampshire with nearly 600 members of staff, and over 180,000 customers.

Mark Bower-Dyke, Chairman and CEO of Be Wiser Insurance, commented:  “We are pleased to become BIBA members at a challenging time for insurance brokers.  We believe that as an industry we need a strong trade association, which proactively represents the interests of the whole broking market. Sitting on the fence and not helping in reshaping of our industry is no longer an option! If we as brokers want to improve our industry then we have to take part, membership is the first step and all brokers should take it.”

Be Wiser joins with immediate effect and has committed to release staff members forward to input and help in developing BIBA’s projects on younger broker initiatives and the review of its website.

Steve White, BIBA’s Chief Executive, said: “We are delighted to welcome Be Wiser Insurance into BIBA membership.  It is important that the broking sector stands together with a strong voice, and as a respected insurance broker, we look forward to working with them on the issues impacting our sector.”
