FSA Confirm Industry Guidance 

The Financial Services Authority (FSA) has written a letter to BIBA in which they formally confirm Industry Guidance status for the BIBA-led industry solution on transparency, disclosure and conflicts of interest in the commercial insurance market.

In a letter to BIBA confirming industry guidance, the FSA said:

“ The FSA has reviewed this industry guidance and has confirmed that it will take it into account when exercising its regulatory functions. This Guidance is not mandatory and is not FSA Guidance. This FSA view cannot affect the rights of third parties.”
