Welcome from the South East Chairman, Glen Gillam

Welcome to the south-east regional website for BIBA and my first year as Chairman.

This site will keep you up to date with local news and events and help improve communication between yourselves, the regional committee and BIBA.

It is your site and I would like you to help us provide you with the events, meetings and services that you are looking for from your regional team.

We will be organising some familiar events such as compliance forums, a golf day and regional dinner but as the year progresses we will endeavour to provide you with up to the minute sessions on current hot topics.

Get Involved!

We are very keen to encourage new members onto our committee to guarantee its continuity and bring fresh ideas and skills to the region. It does not need to be a senior member of your firm just a dedicated member of staff whose career would benefit from the wider experience of working on our committee. As an example we are keen to recruit someone who would take on the challenge of organising a five a-side football tournament for members. So if you would like to get involved or attend the next committee meeting please contact a member of the committee for more information.

I see our committee as an important communications tool for south-east members and should be used as a vehicle by you in order to raise and tackle local issues – and, if necessary, we will take them national when appropriate.

Please encourage your staff to visit the BIBA site, attend the regional events and use the BIBA resources that are available.
