Welcome from Greater Manchester and West Pennine Chairman, Norrie Erwin
It is with great pleasure and a natural degree of trepidation I assume the role of Regional Chairman for BIBA Greater Manchester and West Pennine Region after the Annual Dinner on the 21st of February 2013.
I am very pleased to be associated with and working in the North West Broking and business community.
It is an area of the country rich in heritage and opportunity with in my view a superb environment in which to trade and flourish.
I am also acutely conscious of the challenges facing our business community in an economic environment where strong leadership at every level and in every discipline is required to not only succeed but in some cases for our clients to survive.
The team at BIBA both nationally and the representatives from local businesses serving on our committee are hugely committed and experienced people with whom I know it will be a pleasure to work alongside and support our wider membership base.
It is an interesting time for BIBA as it looks to continue to influence the Government and Brussels on a whole range of fundamental issues affecting our Industry.
In a Society where both commercial and personal clients require a combination of first class service, quality advice they can trust in an environment which provides real value for money then there remains in my view a real opportunity for the Broking market to fulfil these requirements.
The key to doing this successfully will be influenced by our ability to promote ourselves as a Group effectively and be recognised as class leading professionals in our various areas of expertise.
I know BIBA is committed to working to represent the Broking community professionally and has a great track record in this respect. The forthcoming strategic review will provide an opportunity for input from members and should provide a great platform for future development.
I very much look forward to meeting many of you in the forthcoming year and through our Regional Committee championing the North West Broking community.
