Peter Staddon Appointed to Board of The Insurance Charities

For immediate release: 23 February 2009

The British Insurance Brokers’ Association’s Peter Staddon has been appointed to the Board and the Grants Committee of The Insurance Charities, which gives financial and practical support to past and present employees of the insurance industry, and their dependent relatives.  Peter joined the Grants Committee for his first meeting on 12 February and his appointment will give him involvement in the allocation of charitable funds, the strategic direction of the charity and acting as guardian of the Charity’s assets.

Peter Staddon, BIBA Head of Technical Services, commented:
“I am delighted to take on this very important role at a time when the charity is most likely to make a positive financial impact on the lives of those from our industry. I look forward to using my industry knowledge to contribute to this worthy cause and challenging the industry to provide greater financial support during these tough economic times.”
